Visa Requirements

Passport required.

Passport Exemptions:
Nationals of United Arab Emirates with a national ID card.

Document Validity:
Passports and other documents accepted for entry must be valid for a minimum of 6 months from the arrival date.

Additional Information:
Muslim female passengers arriving to perform Umrah or Hajj must be accompanied by one of her immediate family members such as father, brother, husband or son, who must be aged 18 years or older; or over 45 years of age and traveling within a group of female passengers of the same age, who are accompanied by a group leader until their departure.
Umrah passengers arriving in Jeddah (JED) must have their visa checked before boarding the plane at http://visa.mofa.gov.sa/visaservices/searchvisa . The details on the passenger's visa must match the details in the system.
The Umrah Visa can be issued as a separate paper and attached in the passport or as an electronic visa issued by Saudi Embassies. Passengers with an e-visa must have a printed e-visa confirmation.
Visitors are required to comply with local laws in respect of general appearance and behavior. Those not complying could be refused entry.

Minors younger than 18 years must be accompanied by a parent or a guardian.

Passports issued to nationals of the United Arab Emirates must have a nationality field on the bio-data page of the passport to be accepted to enter and transit.

a. Umrah and Hajj pilgrims are not permitted to enter Saudi Arabia via Dammam (DMM) or Riyadh (RUH).
Pilgrims must enter via Jeddah (JED) or Madinah (MED) on Saudi Arabian Airlines or foreign carriers with licenses to operate Hajj flights (both on special pilgrim flights and normal scheduled flights and regardless of season); passengers holding Umrah visas may also enter via Yanbu al Bahr (YNB).
Hajj pilgrims arriving at Jeddah must clear immigration through the Hajj Terminal.
b. Pilgrims must hold confirmed return/onward tickets. Offices making reservations for Hajj passengers are requested to add PILGRIM in their reservation messages.
c. Pilgrims, over 2 years of age, arriving in Jeddah must hold a meningitis vaccination certificate. The date of the vaccination must be max. 3 years and at least 10 days before the date of arrival in Saudi Arabia. Passengers arriving without the required health documents will be vaccinated at the airport or quarantined (no charges); and
d. Pilgrims should hold a cheque in ARI for payment of their Haji arrangements.
e. Baggage of pilgrim and non-pilgrim passengers are handled at different terminals. Baggage of pilgrims arriving by normal scheduled flights (no pilgrim charters) must be labeled with a special Pilgrim label.
f. Foodstuffs brought by Pilgrims are not allowed.
g. The religious group of the Quadyani will be refused entry.
h. Pilgrims on their way to Holy Places are not allowed to visit places other than those which figure in their pilgrimage (e.g. Madinah and/or Makkah) or leave the airport in which they are waiting for a connecting flight either into or out of Saudi Arabia.
i. Passports of Muslim pilgrims arriving to perform Hajj should indicate their Muslim faith, or if not indicated in the passport, the pilgrim must hold some other form of document confirming their faith.
j. All pilgrims must wear an identity card fixed on a wrist band and containing information about their health condition. This card is provided by:
- Ministry of Hajj to Hajis originating in Saudi Arabia; or
- Hajj organizers if originating abroad.
